Big Bang Theory

January 14th, 2009

This blog post isn’t a philosophical discussion on the beginning of the universe. I was just thinking last night how great the Big Bang Theory is! I’m talking about the American sitcom that’s been airing in the UK recently.

If you read the details of the show it sounds like a typical sitcom – 2 geeks and a pretty girl living opposite each other but it is fantastic.

Whilst declaring my love for the show on Twitter I did get sent an amazing website which showcases the many crazy t-shirts that Sheldon has worn during the show (and where you can purchase them!)

My personal favourite is the Tron t-shirt!

Reina Hardesty a 13 year old californian girl managed to rack up an amazing 14,528 text messages in one month!

If you do the maths that is a text message every 2 minutes (not allowing for sleep!) or 484 messages per day!

Fortunately Reina’s parents had her on a $30 all you can text plan otherwise she would have racked up a huge bill of nearly $3,000!

Someone needs to introduce Reina to IM me thinks :)

Eye-Fi developing Wireless Video Uploads

January 8th, 2009

200901081438.jpg

Last year my wife was kind enough to buy me an Eye-Fi card for Christmas in New York when we on holiday there.

It’s a great product that allows you to wirelessly upload pictures to Flickr and other sites directly rather than have to connect to a PC.

Yesterday they announced they are working on a solution to directly upload Videos to Youtube.

Sounds great but not sure how this will work in practice particularly as many of the videos I’m recording are a few hundred meg!
